158th Mission
HHD / 158th Quartermaster Supply and Service Battalion
Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment, 158th Quartermaster Supply and Service Battalion commands, controls and performs staff planning for two to seven supply and field service companies operating in the theater or corps rear area. HHD / 158th Supply and Service Battalion is located in Bellemont, AZ and has an authorized strength of 54 soldiers including eight full time employees. Military Occupation Specialties in the unit include Supply Specialists, Intelligence Analysts, Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, Signal and Administrative Clerks. The Headquarters Detachment currently serves as the battalion headquarters for two transportation companies, a water purification company and an explosives ordnance disposal company.
Training Year 2002 Highlights: The unit focus for 2002 was individual and section level training. The detachment participated in the Reserve Component Multifunctional Combat Service Support course in preparation for battalion level operations beginning in 2003. Annual training for Training Year 2002 and Training Year 2003 is scheduled to take place at the Camp Navajo Training Site located in Bellemont, AZ. --- Additional support operations: Indian Creek fire support, Rodeo Chediski fire support, Battalion field training exercise.
Training Year 2003 Highlights: The 158th mobilization , 2 Transportation companies (263 soldiers), Price search and rescue (airplane crash), Battalion Annual Training at Camp Navajo, 2 overseas deployments to Deagu and Busan, Republic of Korea, 6 personnel each trip. Kanishba Fire support. Casualty Notification and Casualty Assistance to OIF 1.
Training Year 2004 Highlights: 2 overseas deployments to Deagu and Busan, Republic of Korea, Annual Training BBS / TAM Evaluation, Re-deployment of 2 Transportation Companies (263 soldiers). Preparation for deployment in future OIF missions.
